The Redding Old Timers are an informal group of licensed amateur radio operators (sometimes called hams) who get together once a week to discuss various amateur radio topics over breakfast. The term “oldtimer” is a term of friendship in the amateur radio community.

If you are a licensed amateur radio operator, or if you would like to find out more information about amateur radio, feel free to join us.

We meet at the Country Kitchen Restaurant at 1099 Hilltop Drive in Redding every Thursday morning. There is no “official” breakfast time but most show up between 7:30 and 7:45 AM.
If you have a 2-meter amateur radio, you can find several of our group on the 145.110 KE6CHO repeater (minus offset, PL 94.8) and on 147.540 simplex.
